STIKBOT (TIK TOK)
In 2017, I launched a Musical.ly (Now Tik Tok) account for Zing’s stop-motion toy, Stikbot.
I pitched the idea to our VP of Marketing and made it my personal project to grow a Stikbot following on the platform.
Why? Stikbot already had a consistently growing young male audience on YouTube for over a year. With it’s heavily young female audience, growth potential as a platform, and unique pulse on Gen Z trends, I saw Tik Tok as an opportunity to expand our audience.
Over the past few years, I’ve developed monthly strategies, managed the account, and wrote content for animators to then create into short-form videos exclusively for Tik Tok.
RESULTS:
350k fans in under 2 years. All gained organically - no ad spend.
Over 50 million views.
Over 25k UGC posts to #Stikbot.
Recognized as first toy brand to have a presence on Tik Tok.
